My i94 Admit until date was set to September 10th, 2024 (My old passport expiration date) despite my current i797/ Visa Stamp valid up to January 24, 2026. The question is, I got my passport renewed in USA & now on a visit to India (from August 31st, 2024 — September's 28th, 2024). Should my port of entry (reentry) with new passport be before the September 10th ie my old i94 expiration date? I see a lot of information online that states I should leave USA before i94 expiration date (which I already did), however there isn’t much information on re-entry restrictions (if any). pontevecchio Posted September 4 Report Share Posted September 4 You have misunderstood the context. You can come back any time before the H1 Petition ends which is January 24, 2026. You show them the latest H1 Petition approval and get an admit till 2026. Quote Link to comment
