Raj_P
Hello Team, I have been on a L1-A visa, since 2022. I got my I-140 approved and have my AOS application pending for more than 180 days now with USCIS (GC priority date is Dec 2022). There is a probability that i might get laid off as part of upcoming company wide restructure end of August and wanted to review what my options are should it it happen now or future. Questions: 1. How long am i allowed to stay in the US once i am laid-off? 2. What will happen to my wife's L2 EAD once i am laid-off? 3. Given our circumstances with I-140 approved and AOS pending for more than 180 days, what are my best options to continue being in the US? Can we covert to leveraging GC EAD to pursue opportunities? Thanks in advance for the support! Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. Until your AOS application is adjudicated. 2. have you not filed her AOS? 3. you can and should look for another employer in a similar field, the similar being open to a broad interpretation. On the GC EAD, you can work qanywhere. Quote Link to comment
