YKM
On h1b visa from 2014 - 2017 in US . In 2017 came to India due to personal reasons. Is it possible to file H1b transfer in 2024 without having to go through lottery again ? What the options available if previous h1b can be used ? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Zodiac System
Yes. You still have 3 years left on your 6 year term of H1b. No lottery is needed. Find an employer who can transfer your H1b and get you back into US, as well as start your GC I-140 process. Good Luck. Edited June 5 by Zodiac System Quote Link to comment
Attorney_20
If you only used about 3 years of H1B time you have about 3 years remaining. If you have an employer file an H1B petition and it gets approved, you can apply for an H1B visa stamp and reenter the U.S. without going through the lottery again. You will need an approved I-140 to get another extension beyond that. Quote Link to comment
