anandan Posted January 3 Report Share Posted January 3 I am currently on H1B visa in USA and i am planning to apply for H4 Ead with my spouse h1b as primary. As primary h1 is being applied for extension, i can apply for h4 ead under premium category. Once my H4 Ead is approved should I inform my current employer who hold my current h1 or continue working using my new h4 ead. Should there be any gap in my employment. Is there any legal requirement that i need to be aware of? Quote Link to comment

Attorney_24 Posted January 19 Report Share Posted January 19 When your change of status to H4 is approved you can work only pursuant to H4 EAD. You must present the EAD document to the employer so that they can reverify/update I-9 records. Quote Link to comment
