On L1A extension, with EAD approved( AP pending)- Can I switch jobs?

I am working on L1 A extension . I have an EAD too( AP pending), with my 13 year old child( Current on L2 and with EAD). Our GC is in processing. I am from India. 
If my employer removes me from employment , can I continue to work and live in US on EAD ? Similarly for my child? Does the job need to be involving the same managerial role as was on L1 petition?
