Naveen999 Posted December 28, 2023 Report Share Posted December 28, 2023 My H4 EAD was expired recently. Both H4 and H4 EAD approvals are pending with USICS. We received the receipt notices for both of them. We submitted the receipt notices to the employer and they are ok to continue the work. Is it legal to work or do we need to stop the work immediately? As of now, I took a leave after the EAD expiry as I have paid time leaves available. So my question is "Can I continue the leave until the EAD is approved?" (Payroll would still run marking me as leave) or Can I continue the work as my company is fine with receipt notice? Attorney_24 Posted December 29, 2023 Report Share Posted December 29, 2023 As you don't have a valid I-94, you are not eligible for the automatic extension of the EAD while the renewal is pending. So, you cannot work until the EAD is approved. Quote Link to comment
