Peacepiece11
Four of us bought a rental property in NJ with equal partnership. 3 partners are on h1b who are living in NJ however, 1 is US citizen living in Houston, Tx. We want to open an LLC in Texas so we dont have to pay monthly LLC maintenance fees.. A couple of questions: - Do you know if people getting queries from USCIS regarding involvement in the LLC's for day-to-day tasks since there is no property manager and three of us are local? I am worried as we are the ones managing a multifamily home (3 separate units) outside of our 9-5 job. - Opening an LLC for texas is an issue while property is in NJ? - I dont think so but just want to confirm. Attorney_24
While on H-1B, the foreign national has authorization to work only for the H-1B sponsoring company. Kindly consult with an immigration attorney as the work done for another company will be considered as unauthorized employment and can have negative implications on H-1B status. Quote Link to comment
