H1B - 221(g) - Administrative Process

Hi All,

 

I was in the USA for almost 4 and half years on L1B with my family. Due to project issues I had to come to India with my family back but meanwhile I have tried H1B from an external employer and it got picked up after i reached India.

 

1. I got an RFE and we have responded. Later it got approved.

2. We got 221(g) with the date through dropbox (Chennai).

3. We attended an interview in Chennai. Again they gave 221(g) without any date mentioned and returned our passports. He also mentioned that it is not revoked or rejected but it is just refused because of the administrative process.

 

Question: What is the success rate to get a visa and how many days can they take to complete the administrative process and ask for our passports for Visa.

Administrative processing delay times depend on the reason(s) for the delay.
