Assistance Needed with American Airlines Extra Baggage Situation

Hello everyone, I'm shifting to the US. I am planning to fly out to the US with two checked baggage So I've booked an economic system ticket with no checked baggage and then deliberate on including two checked baggage onto my departing flight to the US. 
 
I booked thru British Airways, however, my flight to DFW is operated via American Airlines, while my returning flight to LHR is operated by means of BA. Is this due to the fact it is operated via AA and I want to pay for the greater baggage with them (if so how do I do this) or do some AA flights no longer enable you to take a look at more baggage??
