Green Card Processing for family on L1A

Hello, Experts,

I have a question related to green card processing for family members.  I moved back to India five years ago and now my company in India wants me to transfer to the US on an L1A visa.  When I was in the US, I had filled for GC with a priority date of Dec-12 in the EB2 category.  I do not want to move my family to US immediately and want to understand the pros and cons of doing their GC processing post getting my green card.  My son(13 years) is a US citizen and my daughter(3 years) is an Indian citizen. Given that my priority date is in 2012, I am hoping to get GC without much delay. Therefore, I want to understand if there is any demerit of processing GC for my wife and daughter after getting my GC.

Appreciate it if someone could provide me some guidance.
