Jvd679
Hey, currently I’m pursuing my masters in computer science and currently on F1 visa I want to do job in Mechanical engineering field, especially mechanical design related roles, is there a possible way that i can do this legally? I’m so done with computer science and it is taking toll on my mental health. I’d really appreciate your response. Thank you, Javeed Quote Link to comment
JoeF
You need to have a degree in the field of work to be able to get an H1. Quote Link to comment
Attorney_20
If you have several years of mechanical engineering experience, you could get an experience evaluation showing you have the combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree in mechanical engineering or related. If not, you could consider changing to F1 status to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering and possibly get CPT or OPT work authorization to gain experience in that field. Good luck!
