AYIRA
Currently i am working for MNC in Canada. Recently my H1B got stamped in India. Now my USA employer asking me to come to USA for short term (15 days) to apply SSN & State ID and return back to Canada after 2 weeks to do my regular job. So that my employer can start marketing for me. I have few questions regarding this. 1. If i stayed in USA for 15 days, do i need to run my payroll after i travelled back to Canada ? - My employer is saying that no need to run any payroll if you are not in USA is it correct ? 2. After i received any job offer, when i am moving to USA is it create any issue in Immigration like why did you move back to Canada in short period ? Quote Link to comment
JoeF
That essentially means you are making yourself available to the employer, so, yes, you have to get paid as soon as you make yourself available to the employer. Quote Link to comment
