Need clarification about my VISA Status

I came in F2 in 2022 and applied for H1B through Consultancy and it got approved in Oct 2022. But until Sep 2023 I haven't got any job. In Oct 2023 only I applied for SSN and got it. No payroll run yet (FYI)

In this case, like to know my VISA Status? Is this still F2 or H1B?

If your H1B was filed as a change of status to start on October 1st, and you are not working pursuant to the terms of the H1B petition, you are in violation of your status. You may want to discuss this with your immigration attorney.
