Likhith Reddy
I was not able to join my masters program for Fall 2023 due to late arrival of visa. I have submitted a new application for spring 2024 and got admitted for spring 2024 from the same university and same program as mentioned in my visa. But now I received a different sevis id compared to the sevis id mentioned in my f1 visa. I got admission to the same university and same program as mentioned in my visa but for a different semester with a different sevis id. And this is my first time entering the United States on this visa. , so can I use the visa I already have as I am going to attend the same university and program I mentioned for f-1 visa.? Thank you. Attorney_9
No, you cannot use the same visa. For the initial entry with an F-1 visa, your SEVIS number / I-20 must be the same which you used to apply for a visa. Quote Link to comment
