plok
Hello! I'm currently working in a Canadian company as a permanent resident. It is 100% remote job. My husband's job will be soon taking me to US as a L1 dependent. I will be entering US on L2 visa. My question is whether I will be able to work for my current Canadian company from US without legal complications? Are there any restrictions while on L2 visa? Any tax implications? Please help! Attorney_6
Once you enter you will receive L2S status which will automatically afford you with work authorization in the U.S. This means you will be eligible to work within the U.S., regardless of whether that be for a U.S. employer or a foreign one. We cannot advise on tax matters; you will need to consult with a CPA on how to declare your earnings on US tax returns. Wish you a safe trip and hope you enjoy your stay in the U.S.!
