H1B Visa stamp option

Hello,

I got H1B approval in March 2011. I am thinking to go for Stamping. I did MS in US . Home country is India. Which is the best option for H1B visa stamping at first time. India, canada or MX? I heard that First H1B stamping should be at Home country. Is it true? If no, Which is the easy country to get stamp? Please advice and share your experience.

Even I'm planning to get my H1-B stamped in this Sep or Oct. A friend of mine went for his first H1-b Stamping in Canada and was approved. However, had to stay a week to get all the processing done.

But, given the economy at its worst phase, I'm really perplexed to go for stamping.
