Hi,

I am currently affected by a layoff in my company. I am planning to file H4 COS. Since H4 COS approval may take months, in the mean time if I get another job how should the H1B COS filed? My current i94 is valid until Sept 2024.

  1. Will I have to leave the country to get a new stamping if the H1B transfer to new employer gets approved?
  2. Or can I stay in the US  and work with the newly approved petition for the new employer?
