H1BUser24 Posted October 2, 2023 Report Share Posted October 2, 2023 Hello, Today I filed I-130 application online for my parents and received receipt notices (listing a receipt number) within a few minutes of filing, saved in my USCIS online account. It said, this notice confirms that USCIS received your application or petition, however, the receipt notice did not say it was I-797 C. If I am looking to file I-485, should I wait until I receive a receipt notice in the mail? Why online receipt notice did not say it was I-797 C. Could I use online receipt number to file I-485?
