Request for rescheduling parents interview due to delay in medical report

Hello, 

I have interview date for my parents in Mumbai. They went to there Medical tests almost 4 weeks before the interview date. Doctors office told them that it will take 1 to 8 weeks for the report to be sent to Embassy. 
 

So, can they attend the interview, knowing that the report may or may not be available the interview time? Do we proactively request for rescheduling interview date? 
 

Please let me know your feedback/recommendation. Greatly appreciate your time and help with this matter.

Any update on this post? I have similar situation. My mother’s medical clearance got delayed
