Ben_1994 Posted August 26, 2023 Report Share Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) Hello, My current I-797 expires on September 30th (not stamped), and the renewed I-797 starts from October 1st. I recently completed my visa stamping process, mentioning my current I-797 (expiring on September 30th) in my DS-160. However, I also submitted a copy of my future I-797 along with other documents to have both I-797 receipts stamped. When I received my passport, I noticed that the visa stamp only displays the future I-797 receipt number starting from October 1st. 1. Can I enter the US in August or September with this stamp that starts in October and continue to work using my current I-797(no stamp for this)? 2.
