ravalirede Posted August 23 Report Share Posted August 23 Hi, I am on H4 visa .I want to change my status to F1.I came across the website of USCIS where they mentioned a note mentioned like need to apply for i-539 30 days prior to class start date.I got my I20 Last week and my college started on 21st auguest.Could you please help me with the information and application process for premium i-539 . Attorney_9 Posted September 15 Report Share Posted September 15 You may be referring to the USCIS policy which requires and F-1 applicant to be in valid status at the time the change of status application is filed, and to maintain valid status through at least 30 days before the initially requested program start date.
