I only have 8 more months left on my current visa, my extension won't be filed until November and I n need to travel in September. My question is can I go to either Canada or Bahamas and get my Visa stamped for the 8 months remaining? will there be any issues with only very little time left on the current extension? Attorney_26 Posted August 25, 2023 Report Share Posted August 25, 2023 If you do have to travel and you need the visa to return to the US, you can apply for a visa for whatever duration you have remaining on your h1b approval. Quote Link to comment
