Travel on current valid I-131 while the new I-131 is pending

Hi! 
I will be traveling to India on my current EAD/AP combo document which will be valid all through my travel and return, while my new AP is pending. I am a derivative applicant (primary applicant is not traveling out of the country). 
 

Would this travel using a valid current AP affect my pending AP application?

Generally, if an individual travels and returns on a current valid advance parole, it will not affect a pending advance parole renewal.

I am also in the same situation where my current EAD/AP expires in Feb, 2024 and I am planning to go to India in Dec, 2023. Can I apply fro my EAD/AP extension before my travel? Wanted to confirm if it in anyway will affect my AP extension application?
