H1B extension approved in Consular, Consulate notified is Vancouver, Can I do dropbox in India

My H1B extension is approved in Consular, And the consulate notified of the decision is Vancouver, Canada, But I dont have any Visa to visit Canada, so can I do dropbox in India.

How do you know consulate notified is Canada…did you got i797a or i797b.

The consulate listed on the H1B approval notice is not material. In other words, despite what is listed, an individual can apply for a visa at any consulate, if eligible to apply in there.
