DP513 Posted June 27, 2023 Report Share Posted June 27, 2023 I have received RFE asking for written explanation as to why I answered "yes" to having been denied a visa to the USA. I have been denied F1 visa previously in India, so I have selected "yes" on I-485 form that I have been denied a visa. So, now how should I overcome this RFE? What document should I provide. I don't have any copy of 214(b) forms and visa officer never had provided any reasons of denial. Quote Link to comment

Attorney_15 Posted July 10, 2023 Report Share Posted July 10, 2023 An RFE issued asking why someone answer Yes to a question that they were denied a visa would normally best be addressed by telling USCIS that the visa was denied. One might want to talk with a lawyer to review the facts and determine the full nature of how to respond to the specific question(s) raised by USCIS. Quote Link to comment
