N400 application - Unemployment details

Hi,

I am in process of filling my application for citizenship after completing five years. My GC was approved through Consular Processing. On N400 application, should I mention “Unemployed” during the period between leaving my India employment and me coming to the US on approved green card and joining the US employer. This gap was approx 40 days.

When completing the N-400 form, you should accurately report all periods of employment and unemployment. If you were unemployed in the above period, you should list it as such.
