I was at a Club Drinking in Texas & after the Club closed, I wanted to pee & tried going back inside but I was denied entry. So I ended up peeing in the bushes & thats when the cops showed up. I was tipsy & was planning to take an uber home. I was taken to the nearest drunk tank for Public Urination & Public Intoxication both a Class C misdemeanors. They took my mugshot & fingerprints. I was later released after sobering up. As its my first ever offense, I have been given an option to Defferred Disposition by pleading no contest. Should I take it or plead not guilty & go for pre trail? What are the chances of my case getting dismissed during pre trail? Being a student, I don’t have the fund to afford a lawyer & the state won’t provide me one. Will this affect my H1B change of status? Can my entry in the US be denied at POE if I travel to india before the case is expunged? Please help me with this situation & suggest me what route I should take! Quote Link to comment
