Arun Vishnoi Posted May 10, 2023 Report Share Posted May 10, 2023 Hello, I applied for H4 VISA for my step daughter (adopted) who was 19 years old at the time of marriage and adoption also happened after marriage. Recently my wife got approved for H4 visa while my step daughter's H4 got refused. We got letter where it was checked for 214(b) and it was mentioned that consular was not able to establish the connection with principle applicant (me) as she would have adopted when she 16 years of age or less and would have stayed with me for 2 years and marriage would have done when she 18 years or less. Can someone please advise what is the next step here to take action or any other suggestions to apply for her VISA? Is it possible to bring her here once me and my spouse will get green card?
