vjg Posted April 17, 2023 Report Posted April 17, 2023 My depend has H4 visa stamped until Aug 2024 . my h1 was stamped for previous employer, after coming to US i changed my employment and H1 transfer is approved. Can my dependent travel on H4 stamped against my 1129 with previous employer name mentioned. does dependent need to get H4 stamping for travel before Aug 2024? Quote
Attorney_7 Posted August 7, 2023 Report Posted August 7, 2023 Generally, an H-4 dependent can continue to travel on their H-4 visa even if the H-1B principal changes employers in the U.S. There is no need to obtain a new H-4 visa. It is important that the H-4 dependent presents the most recently issued H-1B I-797 at the port of entry. Quote
