Zobi Posted April 4, 2023 Report Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) Hello, my friends b1/b2 visa expires in April 2024. Since his visa was first approved he has visited US almost every year except for 2 years ( in US every year for 7 years) . on average he has stayed in USA about 6 months at a time and never overstayed. He also has (expired) H1b visa stamping on his passport and currently holds a valid H1b (without the stamping). Do you think his B1/B2 visa renewal will be difficult when he goes for the interview? He doesn’t want to use his H1B right now and wants to keep his B1/B2 thanks in advance Zobi Edited April 4, 2023 by Zobi Quote
Attorney_6 Posted July 28, 2023 Report Posted July 28, 2023 Generally, you are permitted to hold two valid visas at the same time, as long as they are for different purposes. Having a valid H1B approval at the time of applying for a visitor visa renewal should not be an issue. Quote
