Barbet
My details: EB2 (India)- PD 24 July 2006 FP Done- Once in 2007 Changed job in 2008, filed AC 21. My PD will become current next month. Can anybody guess the likelyhood of getting one more FP notice? The reason I am curious is my passport will expire on 24th July. I did not apply for renewal because each month I was hoping that my date will become current next month. If I remember correctly, the USCIS requires unexpired passport for identification. Can the experts on the forum let me know what my options are? Appreciate your help. Link to comment
Belle
Hm... how's your passport renewal is tied to approval? If anything, you need passport for travel, and green card makes it easier to travel, so I would expect someone to actually get a new passport in time for approval to take advantage of the travel opportunities... "If I remember correctly, the USCIS requires unexpired passport for identification." Nope. If you have any other type of ID, you can use it at the time of fingerprinting. Link to comment
Barbet
Thanks. The passport renewal is not tied to 485 approval. The USCIS asked for passport for my last FP. Link to comment
Shurap1
If you are around Newyork area then just go there for passport renewal. It takes only 4 days. I think same policy is there for all other Indian consulates in USA. I just did my renewal and everything was very smooth there. Link to comment
