H4 change of status process with H1b extension

My wife currently has change of status from H1b to H4 application already in process. Soon Ill be submitting H1B extension application with premium processing, is it possible to include already in process H4 application in my H1B extension to get H4 application approval sooner since H1B extension is in premium? Or is it necessary for both H1b extension with premium processing and H4 change status to go together for early h4 approval?
