N400 Interview cancelled without notice - file not received

My N400 interview was cancelled without notice, upon meeting the IO at the scheduled time, I was informed that they havent received my file, so the interview will be rescheduled. What should I do next to expedite the process, I have plans to travel outside of US in the next 2 months, so I need the passport ASAP.

Please advise.
