arpi Posted March 4 Report Share Posted March 4 (edited) I am currently working on F1 which is valid until APril 28th, 2023 I had applied for change of status from F1 to H4 and H4 EAD with a future effective date as 28th April 2023 along with my spouse H1B Extension. USCIS approved both the applications on the same day but the effective start dates are different. H4 start date: 8th February, 2023 H4 EAD start date: 21st February, 2023 I received the originial approval notices of H4 and H4 EAD on 28th february. As I was not aware of the effective dates until I received the approval notice, I continue working from 8th february to 28th february as I had my F1 CPT work authorization. Will this is considered as unlawful? Is it okay for F1 and H4 to be active at the same time as my SEVIS was not terminated until I received the original approval notice?
