Travel during J1 waiver process

Hello,

I have an urgent need to travel urgently to my home country. I have a valid J1 and DS form until June/30/2023. 

My waiver application is still pending on DOS website, it was received on Feb, 7th and the status is still pending.  

Can I travel within the next 2 weeks for few days and come back on same J1 and DS form?
