F-1 Change of Status with USCIS

Hello,

I am an L-2 Dependent (Child), that is currently enrolled in university. I plan on applying for a change of status to F-1 through the USCIS. If my parent simultaneously has a permanent residency application processing with the USCIS, would that affect my change of status application adversely in any way?

Such a relationship should not negatively impact eligibility if the F-1 applicant themselves does not have permanent residency application.
