Re-filing H4 and EAD through new H1B employer, when spouse already has approved H4 and EAD, and its effect on travel and employment.

My spouse is living abroad and has approved H4 and EAD through my current employer (But not employed in the US through EAD), and planning to come to US soon. I am planning to switch employer. Considering H4 and EAD approval times are unpredictable is it advisable to re-file for H4 and EAD or wait till my spouse is back in the US and then file?  Will new filing affect her travel and ability to work based on current approved H4 and EAD.
