Parents' visitor visa appointment while I am in India due to visa issue.

I had taken visitor visa appointment for my parents last year while I was in US on my H1. Now I am in India with my work visa expired and appointment date for my parents in approaching. Do I need to update DS 160 for my parents before the appointment date now that my details are not valid anymore?

Also now that I am in India, does it impact their chance at getting their visa approved?
