andhraguycapricon
Friends/Experts, My brother is looking for best option in this situation Proper name details: First(Given) Name: Ramesh Chembattil Last Name (surname): Krishnan Indian Passport details: First Name(Given name): Ramesh Chembattil Krishnan Surname: (Blank) Expiration: 5th March 2024 US B2 Visa details: First Name(Given name): FNU Surname: Ramesh Chembattil Krishnan Expiration: 4th May 2024 Stamped from: Abu Dhabi UAE As you can see above, the passport and Visa has messed up places where they have put the names. He has travelled couple of times to US with above documents, and would like to travel in December 2023 for 2-4 weeks. Question 1) Can he travel with his current passport or does passport have to have atleast 6 months validity? Question 2) Can he travel with this visa or should the Visa also have 6 months validity? Question 3) If he can travel without renewing passport and Visa, then all good. Otherwise what is the best option from the following Option 1: If only passport needs to be renewed, renew the passport, and while renewing, match the name pattern with Visa name (everything in last name section). Do not renew the Visa. Option 2: If only the passport needs to be renewed, Renew the passport, and while renewing, provide the proper names. Do not renew the Visa. Hope the US immigration should have no problem with pattern mismatch. Option 3: Renew Passport followed by Visa. Provide proper names for both such that patterns match. Question 4) Is he eligible for Drop box (since he is now settled in Kerala, but had the original Visa stamped from UAE) and chances of getting stamped visa before December 2023? Appreciate if you could provide detailed responses to each question individually Thanks Sunny Edited January 8, 2023 by andhraguycapricon Quote Link to comment
