ghm2183
My wife and I are H1B visa holders with approved i140s (We have studied in the US in the past) and have (previous)expired H1B stamps on our passports. I have recently been laid off and want to switch to my wife's dependent H4. However it takes 3-4 months easily to process Change of Status(CoS) here in the US(and then another 3 months to get an EAD) and I am considering doing the stamping quickly in another country because appointments in India are hard to get at the moment. Is the risk of H4 visa rejection high enough in canada that I should not consider this and slog for a H4 india appointment? Can people attest that they have done this before? Has anyone here been rejected for doing this? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
