Kaajal
I have a previous master's from US and recently enrolled for second master's. The student advisor recently informed me that if I have used my OPT for previous master's, I am not eligible for OPT now, even though I am pursuing a STEM degree. Please advise. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
The student advisor is right. If you used your OPT for the first Master's you can not get OPT for the second Master's. It doesn't matter if the second Master's is a STEM degree. Only if the first Master's was a STEM degree and you haven't used the STEM OPT extension, then you could use it for the second Master's.
