GC processing with two companies

Hi,

I have my I140 approved by current employer in EB3 category. There's another company which filing my PERM in EB2 category. I would like to port my existing priority date to the new I140.

Now, let's assume my PD becomes current and I wanted to apply my 485 thro new company. What did I have to do? Do I need to transfer my H1 visa to the new company prior to applying 485?

GC is for future employment so you are not required to work with your petitioner until GC is approved.

in your case, you don't need to transfer H1 and start working for new company and you can continue working for old company.
