Immigrant Visa for Spouse- NVC to Local Consulate

I have a situation here.  I am US Citizen and my spouse is in India.  I applied for Immigrant visa and got the I-130 cleared 10 months ago.  I submitted DS-260 to NVC and NVC accepted all my documents and sent an email that all documents are accepted and verified.  NVC mentioned, they sent the details to India to Mumbai for Interview schedule.  However, last 10 months it is pending and no further information from Mumbai or NVC.  Is there is a way, I can get the update?  Also, Is there is any other temp option I can bring my spouse to USA?  Has anyone faced the same situation?  What is the best suggestion and solution?  Help is appreciated.
