Hardik Chaudhari
I completed my Master's in a STEM field 2 months back and am currently on my OPT. I plan to do my second master's next year. I am aware that I cannot get a OPT again for my second master's. Is there a way that I can use my stem extension of 2 years after my second masters course? JoeF
My understanding is no. The rules allow to use one OPT for a particular educational level, so you can not get OPT for your second master's and therefore no OPT extension. If you had not done OPT for your current degree, you would have been able to use OPT for your second master's and get an OPT extension based on your first STEM degree. Quote Link to comment
