H1B One year extension, PWD filed after 6th year

I am an Indian national in my 6th year of H1B. My PWD application for PERM was filed two day after 6th year started.
Its very unlikely that that I would get i-140 approved on time. 
I am trying to understand if I travel to India now, that would move my max out date ahead. Can my employer file 1 year extension in that case using recapture time.
