Green Card approved while abroad

Hello, I am currently visiting my home country on Advance Parole. My Green card is approved last week and cards are mailed to home in states. Should i still use my AP along with I-485 Approval Notice copy? Will CBP able to find my status and re enter into states? I do feel, it is not safe to courier my GC to home country. Please Let me know.

but it is bit old (2014) so wondering if there are any new rules regarding travel.
