dakota Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 Hi I moved from one company to another recently in June. I need to get extra salary benefits from my previous employer and as a result he credited them as July salary. Now I have two overlapping paychecks for July and last week of June. I informed him and asked him to reverse the paycheck. But I am concerned that payroll taxes are already paid and they will cause issues with extension and i140. Can you please help on how I can remediate this situation. Quote

Your employer's payroll / CPA need to handle this Quote
dakota Posted August 17, 2021 Author Report Posted August 17, 2021 Extra benefits are overtime pay. I joined in the last week of June. Hence my employer mentioned that he will run the overtime pay as two paychecks and paid them in June and July paychecks. I guess taxes are paid as per the adp guidelines. Quote
