Impact of Name Bifurcation in passport on the VISA

I'm one of the several people who have a blank surname field on my Indian passport.

On passport,  Given Name: XXX YYY; Surname: Blank

On my B1/B2 Visa, First Name: FNU; Last Name; XXX YYY

My passport has expired but my VISA is still valid.

I am thinking of bifurcating my name in my new passport which would look like this:

Given Name: XXX; Surname : YYY

Do I need to get a new B1/B2 VISA in order to reflect this change? Or can I still travel with my VISA with the FNU in first name?

What do you mean by bifurcation? Do you have a first name only and want to split that to 2 parts as FN & LN? Which would essentially mean you need to furnish supporting documents. If you intend to include your FN & LN if you have both....in your new passport then it would be the ideal case...where you can justify that previous passport had been printed in error.
