Alien number on Approved I-140

My approved I-140 (approved back in Aug 2014) does not have an Alien Number on it. My current company said that I cannot port my old priority date with them(they are starting my Labor application) as Alien number is not present on I-140 (Notice of Action).

My questions:

1. Do we need Alien number for this purpose, can't we use receipt number or my name and SSN for this porting.

2. Where can I get Alien number from ? if it is not present on I-140(Notice of Action) ?
