Questions in regards to DS160 (Previous US Travel and Travel Information)

Hello All,

My wife needs to travel to India due to some urgency and plans to get Visa stamped before returning.

Her initial H4 visa stamped on the passport has expired but she does have approved extension which is still valid and have few months left before it expires (have not filed here renewal petition yet). While filling the DS160 form, we were a bit confused with the following two questions/sections in the form.

Have you made specific travel plans?/Intended length of stay.

Since her current visa will expire in few months and her petition not yet filed, what is the recommended input for this question. Also, as her extension petition is yet not filed, would this be concern during the interview? Would a visa be approved for such a short duration provided the type of Visa or should we wait for extension approval (Not something we prefer as need to visit due to some urgency).

Next, there are two questions "Have you ever been issued a Visa?/Date visa issued." and "Have you ever been in U.S/Length of Stay"

For the former, we presume its the expired visa on her passport and Length of Stay would be the duration till date. But the concern is that, would this be an issue since the date we are going to enter is for the expired one on the DS160 as we just have the receipt for the extension (never visited India after extension). Now, she is going to carry the extension receipt to the interview if asked for but want to check if this would create any unnecessary confusion.

Would appreciate help or pointers.

Thanks.
